Jane Austen Bicentenary
Jane Austen Bicentenary
Bespoke British Pens have created a limited edition writer’s pen featuring direct links to her life to celebrate Jane’s literary genius.
Handmade in England from sterling silver, and limited to an edition of 200. The turquoise stone embedded into the clip is a symbol of the turquoise ring owned by Jane Austen and left to her sister Cassandra, and now on display at Jane Austen’s House Museum.
The portrait of Jane Austen laser engraved into the silver cap top is an artist’s representation of the famous sketch by her sister Cassandra which can be seen at the National Portrait Gallery.
Around the cap band is a facsimile of Jane Austen’s autograph, and an edition number is engraved on the end of the barrel making each pen unique.
English hallmarks are stamped on the barrel showing the year date, and the traditional fineness mark for sterling silver – the English lion.
